The fire police provide a critical service at the scene of motor vehicle accidents and structure fires by controlling public access to the scene, maintaining traffic control, and providing security for the emergency workers.
We are also called upon by the police dept. and the borough to provide traffic direction for water main repairs, snow removal, and other functions where traffic could be a problem.
Any one over 21 who is interested will be subject to a background check and will be required to join the fire company. Uniforms, equipment, and training are all provided at no expense to the individual
